Compass odyssey LoginPublished: 2/24/2009
Logging into Compass Odyssey from home
*Open INTERNET EXPLORER
*Click on TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS
*When the new window opens, Click on the SECURITY TAB, click on the TRUSTED SITES icon and it will highlight
*Click on the SITES button, about ¾ way on the new screen if “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone” is checked, then uncheck it.
*Now enter the next line exactly into the white box used to add sites
*.duvalschools.org *Click the ADD button
*Click the CLOSE button *Click OK
Also make sure that you have allowed popups from this site and have your security level set at about medium. All other programs should be closes and nothing else should be running on your computer (especially not myspace, IM, facebook, outlook, etc.)
Go to the website:
https://duvalnet.duvalschools.org
The username is the same as at school:
letter s followed by 8 digit student number
The password is last 4 digits of social security number (if no social security number then it is last 4 digits of ID number). Again it is the same thing that is used at school to log into all the computers.
Click the Sign-in Button.
A few windows are going to pop and some things are going on the screen but eventually it is going to have a window that says you are connected and ask whether you want to go to Compass Intervention or Compass Odyssey.
Click on Compass Odyssey
Now the Compass Odyssey window will open. Students log into Compass Odyssey with the same username and password they used for the Duval Portal. Once you have logged into the Odyssey system it should open to a screen with names of the courses and a left side bar of icons. Any subjects with a gold halo means you have work to complete.
When finished be sure to log out of Compass and Disconnect from the Portal and close everything before going on to something else.
